COVID-19 complicated in Laos, Thailand, Cambodia

Hanoi (VNA) – Laos confirmed additional 14 COVID-19cases in four out of 18 cities and provinces nationwide in the past 24 hours,raising the total infections to more than 2,000, said its Health Ministry onJune 14.

Of new cases, seven werefound in the community and the remaining in quarantine facilities.

The country recorded 1,880recovered cases and three deaths related to the disease.

In Thailand, the virusspread to over 130 factories with more than 7,100 infections in 11 provinces,raising concern over its impact on exports and the whole economy.

The Southeast Asian nationlogged a total of 199,264 cases and 1,466 deaths, 80 percent of new cases and90 percent of new deaths were recorded since April.

Meanwhile, the CambodianHealth Ministry reported 468 new cases on June 13, bringing the totalinfections to 38,427.
