Hanoi (VNA) – The head of the Communist Party ofVietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Commission on Mass Mobilisation, Truong ThiMai, hosted a reception in Hanoi on July 6 for General Secretary of theConfederation of Cuban Workers Ulises Guilarte Nacimiento.
Mai expressed the CPV’s and Vietnamese State’s support for theprocess of updating the socio-economic development model in Cuba.
She informed the guest on the major outcomes of the seventhconference of the CPV Central Committee and spoke highly of the long-runningfriendship and solidarity between Vietnamese and Cuban trade unions.
The host affirmed that Vietnam will always stay side by sidewith Cuban people to lift bilateral ties for time to come.
Nacimiento, for his part, briefed the host on the process ofamending the Constitution and updating Cuba’s socio-economic model.
He wished to foster political ties and economic-tradecooperation between the two nations in the near future. -VNA
