Leader of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong-un on June 10 arrived in Singapore, where he is scheduled to have a historic meeting with US President Donald Trump on June 12.

Singapore (VNA) –🔯 Leader of theDemocratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong-un on June 10 arrived inSingapore, where he is scheduled to have a historic meeting with US PresidentDonald Trump on June 12.

Earlier, a plane of the Air China carrying theDPRK leader landed at Singapore’s Changi airport at 2:37 pm (Singapore time).The airplane was said to depart from the DPRK at 8:30am (local time) the sameday. Afterwards, the DPRK leader is set to meetwith Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong before attending the US-DRPKsummit. The Ilyushin-76 cargo plane of the DPRK’sAir Kyryo carrying cars, food and necessities previously landed at Singapore.According to local media, the DPRK delegation came to Singapore on threeaircraft, including the Ilyushin-76, Ilyushin-62M passenger jet and a Boeing747 of Air China. Kim Jong-un and the DPRK delegation will bestaying at the St. Regis Singapore Hotel. The venue is close to the Shangri-LaHotel, where US President Donald Trump and the US delegates will be lodgingduring the trip. The White House said that the airplanecarrying US President Donald Trump is expected to land at Singapore’s PayaLebar military airbase at 8:35pm (local time). He is scheduled to meet theSingaporean PM on June 11. Singaporean PM Lee Hsien Loong announcedthat the country is estimated to spend 20 million SGD (about 15.3 million USD)organising the historic US-DPRK summit, with half of the amount for ensuringsecurity.-VNA
