German scholarships presented to Vietnamese students
The Hessen State Ministry for Science and Art (HSMSA) and the German World University Service (WUS) on May 28 granted scholarships to 21 outstanding Vietnamese students studying in several educational institutions in the northern provinces of Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang.

Thai Nguyen (VNA) – The Hessen State Ministry for Science and Art(HSMSA) and the German World University Service (WUS) on May 28 grantedscholarships to 21 outstanding Vietnamese students studying in severaleducational institutions in the northern provinces of Thai Nguyen and TuyenQuang.
The Hessen scholarship programme has been targeting students living indifficult circumstances with high academic performances across the country for26 years.
The programmme, with 150-250 scholarships presented each year, prioritisesfemale students due to prevailing gender inequality in access to education.
In the 2018-2019 academic year, 250 lucky students across Vietnam willbenefit from the programme. Each scholarship is worth 216 EUR (242 USD).
The scholarships are part of an educational cooperation programmebetween Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training and the HSMSA.–VNA

The festival highlighted the contributions and robust development of Vietnam's revolutionary press over the past century while promoting press products and showcasing the creativity of Vietnamese journalists.
The programme on sustainable poverty reduction has achieved its annual targets for reducing the poverty rate as assigned by the National Assembly and the Government. It has fulfilled five specific objectives and five five-year goals, and met nine out of 12 indicators related to addressing basic social service shortages.
