Hai Duong steps up investment, labour cooperation with Czech Republic

Prague (VNA) ꧙- A delegation from Hai Duong province, led by Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, held meetings in the Czech Republic on October 24 to advance bilateral cooperation in the fields of investment and labour.
At the meeting with Vice President of the Czech Chamber of Commerce Ilja Mazanek, Thang highly evaluated the traditional friendship between Vietnam and the Czech Republic, which has continuously been developing over the past 75 years.
He highlighted the province’s socio-economic achievements and reaffirmed Hai Duong’s readiness to facilitate cooperation with the Czech Republic in investment and labour.
Thang expressed his strong support for the Chamber’s proposals and affirmed Hai Duong’s willingness to welcome projects, such as establishing a Skoda vehicle assembly plant under Volkswagen Group and training nurses for working in the Czech Republic.
Mazanek commended the growing trade collaboration between the two countries and discussed specific projects for future cooperation in Vietnam. The Czech Chamber of Commerce will dispatch a delegation to Vietnam and Hai Duong later this year to survey and sign cooperation documents for the said-above projects. The two sides agreed to select 100 nurses trained in Hai Duong for working in the Czech Republic right in 2024.
The same day, the delegation also met with representatives of the Vietnamese community and businesses in the Czech Republic, including entrepreneurs of Hai Duong origin./.
