Beijing (VNA)෴ – Hanoi and Beijing will enhance cooperation in culture and tourism, share experience in urban planning and management, and promote trade, investment and finance.
Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung and Mayor of Beijing Wang Anshun reached the agreement at their working session in Beijing on September 13.
The two sides expressed their pleasure at the sound traditional friendship and cooperation between the two capitals over the past two decades.
They underlined the significance of maintaining high-level delegation exchanges to help increase the bilateral cooperative relations and the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China.
The two cities are moving to sign an agreement to elevate their collaboration to a new height.
Wang Anshun said Beijing has a lot of practical experience in infrastructure development and building underground systems, and is willing to partner with Hanoi in the domain.
Home to 91 universities and 300 research institutes, Beijing could also work with Hanoi in high technology development, he added.
The Mayor said he is ready to call on Chinese businesses, including top global ones, to invest in the Vietnamese capital.
