HCM City willing to cooperate with Moroccan localities: official

HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City isready to cooperate with Casablanca city and other localities of Morocco infields of mutual interests, Chairwoman of the municipal People’s Council NguyenThi Quyet Tam told visiting Presidentof the Moroccan House of Representatives Habib El Malki on December 20.
Tam promised that HCM City will create favourable conditions for businesses ofthe two sides to promote economic and commercial partnership.
She said similarities in the history of struggle to gain national independenceshared by Vietnam and Morocco would serve as the basis for the two countries tostep up their collaboration in the realms that they have potential and can supporteach other.
Agreeing with Tam’s view, Habib El Malki said with historical similaritiesand diverse culture, Morocco and Vietnam, including HCM City, haveopportunities to join hands in economy, trade and investment.
The Moroccan leader expressed his hope to establish a friendly cooperative relationshipbetween HCM City and Casablanca, the largest city of Morocco, as well asrelations between the city’s business community with its counterpart inCasablanca, contributing to boosting bilateral cooperation in economy andtrade.-VNA
