HCMCity (VNA) – Vice Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City’s Party CommitteeTat Thanh Cang had separate meetings on September 8 with youths from Laos andCambodia who were in the city to attend the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia YouthCooperation Conference.

Talkingto representatives from the Lao People’s Revolutionary Youth Union, Cangaffirmed that Ho Chi Minh City is willing to cooperate with Lao localities,especially in sharing experience and improving the quality of young officials.

Hesuggested the two sides promote youth cooperation activities, includingcultural exchange and voluntary activities and foster links between youngentrepreneurs to contribute to the development of the two countries.

FirstSecretary of the Lao union Sonthanu Thammavong suggested that Ho Chi Minh Citycreate favourable conditions for cooperation between Lao localities and the city,such as youth exchange and training of the Youth Union members.

Atthe meeting with the delegation from the Union of Youth Federations ofCambodia, Cang said that the city will support local youths to strengthen tieswith Cambodian youths with the focus on voluntary and charitable activities andyouth exchange.

Presidentof the Cambodian union Hun Many noted that the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia YouthCooperation Conference 2017 is an important event to the three countries,marking the close cooperation of youths and good relations among the threecountries. - VNA
