Jakarta (VNA) – Governor of BankIndonesia (BI) Perry Warjiyo has expressed his optimism about Indonesia'sdigital finance growth outlook for 2023 despite the global economic stagnationexpected the same year.

During the recent coordination meeting of theRegional Digitization Acceleration and Expansion Team (TP2DD), he forecast that by2023, the total transaction value in the national e-commerce ecosystem wouldreach 572 trillion rupiah (36.5 billion USD) while digital banking transactionswould reach 67.6 trillion rupiah and electronic cash transaction 508 trillionrupiah.

He saidthe total number of QR Code Indonesia Standard (QRIS) users in the country reached30 million in November 2022 and the number is expected to increase to 45million by 2023.

Meanwhile,at least 283 regional authorities have been digitized, an increase of 42% yearon year, he informed.

ꩵ SharingWarjiyo's optimism, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs AirlanggaHartarto said 65% of regional authorities will be digitised by 2023./.
