- Prime Minister Nguyen XuanPhuc presented the title of Hero of People’s Armed Forces to the Ministry ofPublic Security’s Investigation Security Agency during a ceremony in Hanoi onDecember 11.

The agency is tasked with investigating seriouseconomic, corruption, and smuggling cases of public concern, confiscatingtrillions of VND for the State budget.

The PM, who is also Chairman of the Central Councilfor Emulation and Commendation, congratulated officials and officers of theagency on receiving the distinction from the Party and State.

He lauded it for cracking down on national securityviolations and other crimes, contributing to protecting national security, and maintainingsocial safety and order and national development over the last seven decades.

The leader asked it to work closely with units insideand outside of the public security sector, especially central and local legal agencies,contributing to improving the efficiency of investigation activities.

The PM called for carrying out breakthroughmeasures to build a contingent of strong security forces in terms of politics,ideology, and personnel.

It was urged to promptly grasp the Party and State’sstance in each circumstance and on each subject, to ensure that investigationsare in line with law.
