Tokyo (VNA)ꦗ – Japan’s Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida and Myanmar's State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi have agreed to cooperate in efforts to end ethnic conflicts in Myanmar.

Mentioning recent bloody attacks carried out by insurgents at border stations in Myanmar’s Rakhine state, Minister Kishida said that any form of violence should not be tolerated. He also welcomed efforts for peace and stability in Rakhine.
On his part, Myanmar's State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi said the situation in Rakhine State is extremely delicate and needed to be handled in a careful way.
