Hanoi (VNA) ༒– Myanmar’s State Counselor and Foreign Minister Aung San Suu Kyi arrived in Japan on November 1 for a five-day official visit.

This is Suu Kyi’s first visit to Japan after the new government took office in March this year.
Suu Kyi is scheduled to meet Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida and a group of Japanese businesses. She is also scheduled to visit Kyoto, where she spent time in the 1980s studying the life of her father, revolutionary leader Aung San.

Myanmar’s export to Japan reached 513 million USD, mainly apparels, farm produce while its import from Japan was valued at 1.3 billion USD, mainly cars and machineries.-VNA
