Lai Chau finalises draft reports for 15th Provincial Party Congress

Lai Chau (VNA) 🉐– The 14th-tenure provincial Party Committee of Lai Chau province on September 14 held a thematic conference on finalising detailed draft reports that will be submitted to the 15th Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

The documents include a political report and another report that reviews the leadership and direction of the provincial Party Committee in the 2020-2025 term. At the conference, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the provincial People's Council, Head of the provincial Delegation of National Assembly Deputies Giang Pao My emphasised that the thorough preparation of these two documents is a decisive factor for the success of the congress. They will also provide an important basis and orientation for the provincial Party Committee to lead and direct the implementation of the province’s goals and tasks during the term.
She asked participants to uphold their knowledge and leadership experiences to contribute to the reports’ drafts; the congress’s theme and motto; the results of implementing political tasks for the 2020-2025 term in specific contents in the drafts; methods of evaluating key programmes and tasks; key target groups, key programmes, breakthroughs and key tasks for the 2025-2030 tenure. My also asked for opinions on contents such as reviewing self-criticism and criticism of the 14th provincial Party Committee, its Standing Board and its standing members. The official said she expected that the participants will share experiences to better implement the tasks of the provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. The draft of the Political Report of the 14th provincial Party Committee consists of two main parts with three options for action guidelines and three options for key programmes. The draft also mentions in detail some of the major and important contents of the Political Report such as general direction, and main targets for the 2025-2030 term.
Based on the requirements set forth in Directive No. 35-CT/TW of the Politburo, participants focused on discussing contents that My suggested. They also gave their opinions on the medium-term public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period. With practical experience in implementing the province’s public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period, closely following the Law on Public Investment, the direction of the Prime Minister and the guidance of ministries, agencies and the province’s planning for the 2021-2030 period with a vision to 2050, the participants reached consensus on principles, criteria, and a list of investment projects in the coming time. At the conference, the sub-committee in charge of documents for the 15th Provincial Party Congress was asked to absorb opinions and ensure the progress and quality of the detailed drafts of the reports. Regarding the medium-term public investment plan for the period 2026-2030, the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the provincial People's Committee shall lead the provincial People's Committee, sectors and localities to make use of their advantages and address limitations in formulating and implementing the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period.
They were asked to closely follow the Law on Public Investment, the direction of the Prime Minister, the instructions of ministries and agencies and the province’s planning to review and develop a highly feasible public investment plan for the 2025-2030 period./.
