Vientiane (VNA) - Majornewspapers of Laos on April 10 ran articles highlighting the upcoming officialvisit by President Vo Van Thuong to Laos, affirming that it will contribute todeepening the Laos – Vietnam special relations.

In its article, Pasaxon - the official newspaper of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) - said the Vietnamese President’s official visit to Laosfrom April 10 – 11 at the invitation of Lao Party General Secretaryand President Thongloun Sisoulith will help strengthen the great friendship, specialsolidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations, and affirm thatVietnam always attaches importance to developingthe relations with Laos.

It spotlighted the fruitful development of the bilateralrelations, saying that Laos and Vietnam always affirm their responsibility topreserve, protect, and step up their great friendship, special solidarity andcomprehensive cooperation, which is increasingly developing in all areas basedon the spirit of independence, self-mastery, and equal and win-win cooperation.

Laos and Vietnam are still making their all-out efforts to further develop the bilateralrelations across fields of politics, national defence- security, economy,trade, investment, education, and people-to-people exchange; and closely coordinateand support each other in the regional and international arena, it stressed.

Thevisit is an opportunity for leaders of both sides to discuss and agree onstrategies and measures to further promote all-around relations, as well asexchange views on regional and international issues of common concern, itstated.

Meanwhile, PathetLao, a publication of the Laos News Agency KPL, said that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensivecooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples are an exemplaryrelationship that never fades in international relations.

Both Pasaxon and PathetLaonoted that the visit aims to strengthen and cultivate the great friendship, specialsolidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, nations andpeoples.
