Laos, Cambodia join Vietnam’s reunification parade rehearsal in HCM City
The rehearsal featured 38 formations from Vietnam's armed forces, contingents from the Lao People's Armed Forces and the Royal Cambodian Army, and 12 formations representing various mass organisations.

HCM City (VNA) – Armed forces from Laos and Cambodia engaged in the final joint rehearsal in Ho Chi Minh City on April 22 night in preparation for Vietnam’s upcoming grand parade commemorating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975–2025).
🅠 The event was overseen by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army and head of the parade subcommittee, along with officials from the Ministry of National Defence, the Ministry of Public Security, and Ho Chi Minh City authorities.

The rehearsal featured 38 formations from Vietnam's armed forces, contingents from the Lao People's Armed Forces and the Royal Cambodian Army, and 12 formations representing various mass organisations.
൲ For the first time, the rehearsal included a 30-minute artistic performance with over 1,000 participants.

In the morning of the same day, helicopters and fighter jets conducted practice flights over the city.
Following this rehearsal, parade participants will attend a preliminary review on April 25, and a state-level general review on April 27.
𝐆 The official military parade and procession of civil forces is scheduled for 6:30 am on April 30, with the participation of some 13,000 people./.
The parade will feature 25 military and militia formations and 17 police formations, with more than 13,000 personnel from all services and branches of the Vietnam People’s Army, People’s Public Security, and militia forces.
The rehearsal brought together more than 10,000 participants from across the armed forces, including military personnel, public security forces, and militia units, forming 38 marching blocks - 25 from the People's Army and militia, and 13 from the People's Public Security.
A national-level celebration celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification in Ho Chi Minh City on April 30 will feature a 30-minute art performance, flag-saluting, speeches by top leaders and representatives of war veterans and young people. It will be followed by a military-civilian parade and a symbolic release of balloons and doves.
