Kuala Lumpur (VNA) – Malaysian government said on June 23 it will take legal action against Facebook parent company Meta Platforms (META) for failing to remove"undesirable" posts, the strongest measure the country has taken todate over such content.

The Malaysian Communication and Multimedia Commissionsaid Facebook has recently been plagued by a “ significant volume ofundesirable content” relating to sensitive issues on race, religion and royaltyas well as defamation, impersonation, online gambling and scam advertisements.
