Hanoi (VNA) – Domestic and international experts has gathered inHanoi for a conference to discuss the completion of the market economy institution innatural resources management, environmental protection and climate changeresponse in Vietnam.

At the on November 9 event, Nguyen The Chinh, head of the Institute of Strategyand Policy on Natural Resources and Environment (ISPNRE), said that theGovernment asked the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to carry outthe project “Completing the market economy institution in natural resourcesmanagement, environmental protection and climate change response in Vietnam” toenhance management in the sectors towards sustainable and fast development inspecific conditions of Vietnam.

The institute must join hands with relevant agencies to finish the project in2018, he added.

Experts said that building socialist-oriented market economy institution is astrategic mission and a major breakthrough which drives sustainable and fastdevelopment in accordance with the Resolution 11 adopted at the 12th PartyCentral Committee.

Vietnam is integrating deeply into the new-generation free trade deals as wellas international commitments on the environment and climate change. Thus, it isnecessary to have rational approach to exploit and use natural resourceseffectively while reduce environmental pollution.-VNA
