NA Standing Committee convenes 22nd session

The 15th National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee convened its 22nd session in Hanoi on April 10 under the chair of NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

Hanoi (VNA) - The 15th NationalAssembly (NA) Standing Committee convened its 22nd session in Hanoi on April 10under the chair of NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.

🐓 In his opening speech, NA Chairman Hue said during the two-day session, the Committeewill discuss the proposed law building programme for 2024,adjustments to the law and ordinance building programme in 2023, and a report of the NA supervision delegation on the mobilisation and use of resources for COVID-19 prevention and control, and the implementation of implementation of policies and laws on grassroots health and preventive medicine. 

It will give comments on the outcomes of the fourth extraordinary session and preparations for the 5th session of the 15th NA. NA Chairman Hue noted that the 5th session will consider 20 law projects and draft resolutions, doubling the number of ordinary sessions, adding that the draft Land Law (revised) which was edited based on opinions from NA deputies at the 4th session and the public will be submitted to the session for debate.  A report on the outcomes of supervision of legal documents inthe fields under the responsibility of the Ethnic Affairs Council and the NA’scommittees will also be tabled for consideration, along with plans to assign agencies to compile and verify a draft law amending and supplementing several articles of the law on supervisory activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils. The NA Standing Committee will also consider and give opinionson a number of issues within its competence as prescribed by law, and the citizens' participation in parliamentary activities in March 2023./.
