NA Standing Committee to convene 15th session this week

The Standing Committee of the 14th National Assembly will convene its 15th session in Hanoi from October 11-13, with many important issues to be discussed, including preparations for the legislature’s fourth meeting in October.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Standing Committee of the14th National Assembly will convene its 15th session inHanoi from October 11-13, with many important issues to be discussed, includingpreparations for the legislature’s fourth meeting in October.

During the session, the committee will look into reports collecting opinions ofvoters and people nationwide to be submitted to the NA’s fourth meeting, andsupervising the settlement of voters’ petitions sent to the third sitting.

The lawmakers will also mull over outcomes of citizen reception, and thesupervision of the settlement of citizens’ complaints and petitions to the NAin 2017.

Apart from preparations for the fourth meeting, the committee is scheduled todiscuss the plan to use Government bond capital of the Ca Pass tunnel project,and the North-South expressway project.

They will scrutinise reports on the implementation of the socio-economicdevelopment plan and State budget in 2017, as well as the socio-economicdevelopment plan and State budget estimate and allocation plan for 2018.

The feasibility study report on the land reclamation, compensation, assistanceand resettlement project for Long Thanh International Airport, and the schedulefor the implementation of the general education and new textbook programme inline with the NA’s Resolution No. 88/2014/QH13 dated November 28, 2014 willalso be deliberated at the session.-VNA
