Hanoi (VNA)🦹 – The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee will convene its 34th session in Hanoi from June 11-13, announced the NA Office.

NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man will deliver an opening remark and share presiding duties with the NA deputy chairpersons throughout the event. Lawmakers will tackle a comprehensive agenda, including deliberations on amendments to several key draft laws, including the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, the Road Law, the revised Capital Law, the revised Law on Social Insurance, the Law on Security Guard Force, the Law on Defence, Security Industries and Industry Mobilisation, the revised Law on the Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Supporting Tools, and the amended Law on the Organisation of the People's Courts.
The session will also see discussions on the proposed revisions to the Land Law, the Housing Law, the Real Estate Business Law, and the Law on Credit Institutions. Additionally, a draft resolution on job positions within NA Standing Committee organs is slated for adoption. Beyond legal matters, the committee will delve into the Hanoi Capital Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050; and adjustments to the General Planning of Hanoi Capital to 2045, with a vision to 2065.
Regarding financial issues, legislators will decide on the use of increased revenue and budget savings from 2023, and provide feedback on draft resolutions concerning some specific policies and mechanisms for the development of Nghe An province and Da Nang city. Finally, the committee will offer input on a draft resolution on the National Marine Spatial Planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050 and a draft resolution on the reduction of value-added tax, both of which will be presented to the legislature at its going 7th session./.
