NA Standing Committee’s 56th meeting slated for May 27
The 56th meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee will take place in Hanoi on May 27, according to a press release issued by the NA Office on May 26.

Hanoi (VNA)ꦛ – The 56th meeting of theNational Assembly Standing Committee will take place in Hanoi on May 27,according to a press release issued by the NA Office on May 26.
NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue is scheduled to deliver an opening speechand preside over the meeting in rotation together with NA Vice Chairpersons. As scheduled, the committee will give opinions on importantissues while the National Election Council will present a preliminary report onthe outcomes of the election of deputies to the 15th NA and People’sCouncils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure. The full-time legislators will also contribute ideas to the 2019 State budget balance report, the 2019 State finance report and the Government report on thrift practiceand wastefulness prevention in 2020./.
The National Assembly (NA) adopted a resolution on the election of members to the 14th NA’s Standing Committee during its ongoing 11th sitting on the afternoon of April 6.
The National Assembly (NA) passed a resolution on the election of chairpersons of a number of NA Committees on April 7, with approval of all 463 deputies present at the session.
According to the resolution, Nguyen Thi Thanh, a member of the Party Central Committee and Vice Chairwoman of the NA, was appointed Standing Vice President of the council and head of its personnel sub-committee.

The new Quang Tri province will include 78 commune-level units and features key assets such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, a long coastline, historical landmarks, three international border gates, deep-water ports, a modern transport network, and two airports.
