Speaking at the event, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Party organisation, Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Nguyen Huy Tang reviewed theachievements that the Party organisation and the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia had made in 2023, particularly in connecting, maintaining and tighteningthe friendly relations between two peoples and two countries. According to the Ambassador, the Vietnam-Cambodia relations in2023 continued to develop comprehensively across all fields including politics, foreign affairs, defence–security,economic cooperation, trade and investment, contributing to the growth of thetwo countries. Last year, the two countries exchanged over 60 delegationsincluding four high-level delegations, and held various meetings and exchanges betweenlocalities, military zones and organisations of the two countries. Tang said that last year, the whole Party organisation inCambodia fulfilled assigned political tasks in all areas ofwork from politics, economics, national defence and security, culture, external information work, citizen protection and affairs related to Cambodians of Vietnamese origin, contributing to the successful implementation of the Party's external policy set in the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolutionof the 28th Party Congress of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and theResolution of the 31st Diplomatic Conference, ensuring the interests of Vietnamin Cambodia, and strengthening the good traditional friendship between Vietnamand Cambodia. On the occasion, delegates offered incense in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the altar dedicated to him at the embassy./.
