Hanoi (VNA) - Politburo member and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh hosted a reception in Hanoi on July 18 for Kawai Katsuyuki, Special Advisor to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Chinh, who is also Chairman of the Vietnam - JapanFriendship Parliamentarians’ Group, spoke highly of the contributions of PM Abeand other Japanese leaders to strengthening bilateral ties, particularly inconnecting the two economies.
He wished that Japan would further enhance bilateral cooperationand investment to maintain its position as one of the leading trade partnerswith Vietnam.
Vietnam would continue providing support for Japaneseinvestors, he said.
Katsuyuki, for his part, said PM Abe and Japanese leaders alwaysgive high priority to ties with Vietnam in diverse areas, especially inrefining mechanisms, reforming administrative procedures, developinginfrastructure, and training high-quality human resources.
He expressed wish to continue working closely with Vietnamto contribute to maintaining peace, stability, security, safety, and prosperityin the region and the world.-VNA
Vietnam and Japan will exchange experience in UN peacekeeping activities and join hands to handle post-war consequences as well as promote cyberspace and maritime security.
