Party Secretariat issues directive on organising Front ’s congresses

Permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Truong Thi Mai has signed a document on directing the organisation of Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s 10th National Congress in the 2024 – 2019 tenure, and the congresses of the VFF’s chambers at all levels.

Hanoi (VNA) - Permanent member of the Party CentralCommittee's Secretariat Truong Thi Mai has signed a document on directing the organisationof Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF)’s 10th National Congress in the 2024 – 2019 tenure, and the congressesof the VFF’s chambers at all levels.

The document said in recent times, the VFF has continued toassert its position and role in protecting the legitimate rights and interestsof the people. It focuses on promoting people's rights and mobilising their participationin patriotic movements, engaging in social supervision and criticism, combatingcorruption and negative phenomena, and participating in building a clean and strongParty and political system.

These efforts have contributed to strengthening the people'strust in the Party and harnessing the power of the great national solidarity blocin the cause of national construction and defence.

Theupcoming congresses will be important political events for the VFF and peoplefrom all walks of life, the directive stressed.

Accordingto the directive, the Party Secretariat requests the Party committees and organisationsat all levels to concentrate on directing the implementation of tasks relatedto the preparation for and the organisation of the events.

The Party Central Committee's Commission for Informationand Education in coordination with the VFF’s Party delegation will strengthen the directionand guidance for the communication work before, during, and after the congress.

TheParty and Government’s Party Civil Affairs Committees are responsible for directingthe authorities at all levels and relevant sectors to coordinate and createfavourable conditions for the VFF at all levels to organise the congresses onschedule in an economical and practical manner.

Thecongresses at the provincial, district and communal levels will be completed inAugust, June, and April 2024, respectively, while the VFF’s 10th National Congress will take place in October next year.    

The Party Central Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilisation incoordination with the VFF’s Party Delegation, the Party committees, and Party Central Committee’s Office will assist the Party Secretariat in monitoring the implementation of this directive./.
