Hanoi (VNA) – ꧙A photo contesthonouring good deeds for children was launched by the Ho Chi Minh Young PioneerOrganisation’s Council, UNICEF Vietnam, and the Ho Chi Minh Communist YouthUnion (HCYU)’s Central Committee on October 14.
The event is in response to the WorldChildren’s Day (November 20). Vietnamese nationals of all ages areeligible for the contest. Activities captured in the entries must becarried out from June to November 8, according to the organising board. Childrenmust be featured in each work. Contestants may submit their works fromOctober 19 to November 9. Entries are to be posted on the Facebook page of the HCYU’sCentral Committee to vie for weekly votes. Thirty winners of the weekly events will qualifyfor the final round. An awards ceremony is set to be held in Hanoi on November19./.
Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh on September 27 urged relevant agencies to put an end to actions that violate traffic regulations and pose risks to children and called on people in general and children in particular to strictly follow traffic rules, especially wearing helmets.
