The visit comes after an invitation from his Cambodian counterpartSamdech Techo Hun Sen.
The PM isaccompanied by Minister-Chairman of the Government’s Office Mai Tien Dung,Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, Minister of Agricultureand Rural Development Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Minister of Natural Resources andEnvironment Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Minister of National Defence Be Xuan Truong,Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Quy Vuong, and deputy head of theSteering Committee for the Central Highlands Nguyen Dieu Kre.
The CLV Development Triangle Area covers fourCambodian provinces (Ratanakiri, Stung Treng, Mondulkiri, and Kratie), four Laoprovinces (Attapeu, Salavan, Sekong, and Champasak), and five Vietnameseprovinces (Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, and Binh Phuoc).
Since its establishment in 1999, the CLV has proved to be an effectivecooperation mechanism among Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam. It posts a GDP growthrate of 9-10 percent in 2016, higher than the average growth rate of thenations.
The CLV cooperation mechanism has also affirmed its indispensable rolefor not only the development triangle area but also the entire territories ofthe three Indochinese countries.-VNA
The Prime Minister has signed a decision on developing the Central Highland province of Dak Nong into an important growth pole of the Cambodia – Laos – Vietnam (CLV) Development Triangle by 2050.
The 11th Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) of the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam (CLV) Development Triangle Area opened in Gia Nghia town, the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong on November 1.

The ninth Summit of Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam (CLV) Development Triangle Area will take place in Cambodia from November 23-24, aiming to strengthen solidarity and cooperation between the three countries.
The development triangle mechanism of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia has brought great benefits to all three countries, Deputy Foreign Minister Vu Hong Nam said.
Stronger efforts and determination are required to achieve and surpass the set targets, especially in the eradication of makeshift and dilapidated houses nationwide, the acceleration of public investment disbursement, and the implementation of nationally important transport projects, PM Pham Minh Chinh noted.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Long spoke highly of the dynamic, positive, and comprehensive development of Vietnam – Russia relations in recent years. Deputy PM Le Thanh Long proposed countries promote shared values, including building trust, sincerity, and solidarity among nations and peoples; fostering cooperation spirit and responsible behaviour as well as upholding international law and the UN Charter; and placing people at the centre and as the goal, the key player, and the driving force of all policies.
The show, together with a grand parade to be held silmutaneously at Ba Dinh Square in Hanoi, will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, the National Day, and the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA).
In particular, in April 2023, the two sides successfully carried out a joint operation that dismantled a major organised, transnational drug trafficking ring involving both Vietnamese and Cambodian suspects.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Israel is closely coordinating with relevant local agencies to stay informed and provide the utmost support possible for Vietnamese nationals.
