PM urges swiftly translating Party's policies into reality

Ba Ria – Vung Tau (VNA)🐼 – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces of Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Binh Duong to promptly addressing concerns and recommendations to concretise and swiftly translate the Party’s policies and guidelines into practice while addressing a conference in Ba Ria – Vung Tau on March 20.
The event was held to approve the draft report of Inspection Team 1908 of the Party Central Committee's Politburo and Secretariat on the results of inspection of the Standing Boards of the Party Committees of the three localities.

Delegates heard the draft report on the inspection of the implementation of resolutions, conclusions, and directives on streamlining the political apparatus; establishing and operating new Party organisations; organising Party congresses at all levels in the lead-up to the 14th National Party Congress; promoting breakthroughs in science – technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation; and supplementary project on socio-economic development in 2025 towards reaching a growth target of at least 8% in 2025.
In his address, PM Chinh, who is also head of the Inspection Team, applauded the proactive, creative, and determined efforts of the Party Committees’ Standing Boards of the three localities in leading, directing, and implementing the Party's resolutions, conclusions, and directives.
The serious, responsible, and concerted implementation with high quality has created a new momentum and fostered consensus, engaging the entire political system, and gaining public support, he stressed.
He commended the HCM City Party Committee for swiftly stabilising the situation and ensuring the uninterrupted implementation of tasks despite personnel changes.
The leader urged the city to continue with the restructuring of the administrative apparatus, thoroughly prepare for Party congresses at all levels, devise growth scenarios, revitalise traditional growth drivers while fostering new ones, advance social housing projects, and ensure social welfare and environmental sustainability.
The PM asked the Standing Board of the Ba Ria – Vung Tau provincial Party Committee to strengthen political and ideological work for officials and Party members during the streamlining process; earmark 3-5% of the budget for science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; put forth quarterly growth scenarios; promote the oil and gas industry as a key growth driver of the locality, and review and propose solutions to stalled projects.
He praised the proactive, innovative, and determined efforts in task execution of Binh Duong’s authorities, particularly in infrastructure development, technological advancement, and leveraging its strengths.
The Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee must decisively implement social housing projects to ensure equal housing opportunities for residents, and take the lead in addressing public health issues, he said./.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasised that laws should align with Party policies and guidelines, especially the recently-issued resolutions, conclusions and directives.
Party General Secretary To Lam outlined ambitious economic growth targets of at least 8% for 2025, laying the groundwork for double-digit rates in the coming years. He also provided orientations for digital asset and currency management in Vietnam.
This resolution applies to domestic and foreign organisations and individuals; foreign organisations and individuals participating in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation activities in Vietnam; and other related organisations and individuals.
The trip will be made at the invitations of Chinese Premier Li Qiang and WEF President and CEO Børge Brende, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Long spoke highly of the dynamic, positive, and comprehensive development of Vietnam – Russia relations in recent years. He affirmed that the Vietnamese Party and State place great importance on further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership with Russia in a substantive and effective manner, in line with the development needs of both nations.
At the conference, participants reported that the Government has so far issued 28 decrees on the delegation of responsibilities and powers between the central Government and two-tier local administrations. Several localities have already piloted the new governance model.

Under the official dispatch signed on June 20, ministers, heads of ministerial-level agencies, and chairpersons of provincial and municipal People’s Committees are requested to concentrate efforts on implementing core measures to ensure the smooth operations of the new administrative framework.
The Party chief underscored the need for the press to innovate relentlessly, evolve to keep pace with the country's development, transform into a truly professional, humanistic, and modern sector that serves the cause of the Party, the State, and the people on the path to national construction and development.
