PM: Vietnam always treasures special ties with Laos
The Vietnamese Party and State always attach importance to the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Laos, affirmed Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnamese Party and State always attachimportance to the special friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Laos,affirmed Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
While receiving former Lao PM Thoongsinh Thammavong in Hanoi on November 22,the Vietnamese Government leader said Vietnam does it utmost to support theneighbouring country.
Vietnameselocalities are willing to back Lao provinces’ development, he said, citingconstruction of Nong Khang international airport in Houaphan province as atypical example.

An exhibition highlighting the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos opened on at Kaysone Phomvihane Museum in Vientiane, Laos.
Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan and Lao Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Bosengkham Vongdala discussed measures to strengthen bilateral partnership in the future during their talks in Vientiane on November 2.
President Tran Dai Quang met on November 11 with General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of Laos Bounnhang Vorachith, who was in Da Nang city to attend the APEC-ASEAN dialogue as part of the APEC Economic Leaders’ Week.
The Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam and the Ministry of Education and Physical Training of Laos held a ground-breaking ceremony for three education facilities in Vientiane, Laos on November 14.

In particular, in April 2023, the two sides successfully carried out a joint operation that dismantled a major organised, transnational drug trafficking ring involving both Vietnamese and Cambodian suspects.
