Hanoi (VNA) – Latin American news agency Prensa Latina published a special feature on Vietnam and its eternal light of patriotism on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh’s 135th birth anniversary (May 19, 1890 – 2025), affirming that his thought and legacy have continued to guide the Vietnamese revolution.
In the article, Moisés Pérez Mok, Prensa Latina's resident correspondent in Vietnam, retraced the remarkable revolutionary journey of the late leader, starting from the moment when he, as a 21-year-old young man, set out to seek a path for national salvation.
The piece dedicated significant space to analysing Ho Chi Minh’s military thinking, underscoring core principles such as “relying on the people” and “people’s war,” while also delving into his diplomatic acumen that contributed to Vietnam’s historic victories.
It concluded by stating that the President’s example has continued to illuminate Vietnam’s path in national construction and defence, while serving as a source of profound inspiration for peoples around the world striving for independence and freedom.
On the same occasion, Argentina’s Resumen Latinoamericano published an article paying tribute to the founder of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam in 1945, describing him as a statesman, an intellectual, and a thinker of immense global influence.
The article recalled that in 1990, marking the centenary of his birth, UNESCO honoured President Ho Chi Minh as a Vietnamese hero of national liberation and a great man of culture. The UN body recognised him as an outstanding symbol of national self-determination, devoting his whole life to the national liberation of the Vietnamese people and contributing to the common struggle of peoples for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress.
Resumen Latinoamericano further highlighted that the international media has listed Ho Chi Minh among the 100 most influential figures of the 20th century, praising his charisma and stature as a visionary leader and exceptional statesman.
Meanwhile, Argentina’s Movimiento Cultural Acercandonos also ran an article on the late Vietnamese leader, asserting that his name stands among the greats of the global working-class movement, transcending Vietnam’s national borders. It wrote that the im𒁏age and legacy of President H♛o Chi Minh are revered across the world, hailing him as a great leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam and of the international working class./.
