President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to open on lunar year’s last day
The Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh will be open to the public on January 31 (the last day of the lunar year), the Management Board of the site has announced.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh will be open to the public on January 31 (the last day of the lunar year), the Management Board of the site has announced.
Time for people to pay tribute will be from 8am to 11.30am.
President Ho Chi Minh passed away on September 2, 1969. His body was embalmed and placed in a glass coffin inside the granite mausoleum.
The mausoleum has become an important landmark of the capital city and is integral to the political and social history of Vietnam.
Tet (Lunar New Year) is the largest and longest traditional festival of the Vietnamese people. This year's Tet falls on February 1./.
The 45-year history of the President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum has been introduced to Vietnamese and international friends through 180 photos on display at an on-going exhibition that opened in Hanoi on August 27.
The President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum holds special political, cultural significance for the revolutionary cause of the Party, State and people. It is also a sacred image and special symbol with practical value for educating each Vietnamese citizen about morality and lifestyle.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on August 14 asked the Management Board of President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum to continue well preserving the construction and the embalmed body of the late leader.
A nearly 1,000-page book has been published featuring the journey seeking ways for national salvation of President Ho Chi Minh, known in those days as Nguyen Tat Thanh, said Dr. Vu Manh Ha, Director of the Ho Chi Minh Museum, on December 16.
