President Ho Chi Minh’s testament under discussion in Russia

Moscow (VNA) – A workshop discussing President Ho Chi Minh’s testamentwas held in Saint Petersburg, Russia, on September 20 as part of activities tocelebrate the 70th founding anniversary of Vietnam-Russia diplomaticties.
Theevent saw the participation of over 500 delegates, including politicians, scholarsand researchers from universities and research institutes; and large crowds of Vietnameseand Russian students.
Speaking at the event, Politburomember and head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Popularisationand Education Vo Van Thuong affirmed that the President’s testament is aninvaluable spiritual heritage, which was the quintessence of the intelligence,morality and noble style of a great man who dedicated his whole life to thegoal of independence and freedom for the country and prosperity and happiness forthe Vietnamese people; as well as the noble humanistic values of mankind.
Thetestament demonstrated President Ho Chi Minh’s burning desire to "build aVietnam of peace, unity, independence, democracy and prosperity, greatly contributingto the world revolutionary cause, Thuong said.
Governor of Saint Petersburg Alexander Beglov highlighted the significance ofthe workshop, saying that it vividly reflects the friendly and reliabletraditional relations between Vietnam and Russia and helps young people ofRussia understand more about President Ho Chi Minh and his heritage.
Previously, the Vietnamese official had a working session with Beglov, duringwhich they discussed measures to enhance relations between the two countries’localities.
Beglovinformed his guest that the St Petersburg authorities have agreed to build amonument to President Ho Chi Minh in the city. -VNA

NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man stressed the need to accelerate the application of artificial intelligence and smart teaching equipment, innovate teaching and assessment methods, and further improve the quality of formal education.
He also pledged that the NA will promote its ongoing supervision, making sure that every promise must lead to results, and every commitment must bring about real changes.
Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien welcomed the proposals put forward by the US side and reiterated Vietnam’s request for consideration of key areas of interest, including reciprocal tariff policies and access for Vietnamese key export products to the US market.
