So far, the Ministry of Information and Communications has directed the assessment and publication of 16 groups of digital platforms to serve the needs of the people. The network of the Community Digital Technology Team has been approached across the country. More than 100,000 cadres, civil servants, and public employees in state agencies from central to communal level have been trained in basic digital transformation. More than 5 million have access to basic digital skills through a mass open e-learning platform. Therefore, the National Digital Transformation Day is for all people across the country to study together and work together. Expressing his pleasure to attend the program, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highlighted the significance of the event. He said this is the first time the event was held, demonstrating the determination of the Party, State, the whole political system, business community and people nationwide to continue promoting national digital transformation, and develop the digital economy, digital society and digital citizenship. Along with the trend of green transformation, digital transformation is an inevitable trend that is evolving very strongly. Digital transformation contributes to bringing into play the strength of the nation and the power of the times, and internal and external resources. It also helps to effectively solve the relationships between the State, the market and society. The movement helps in implementing three strategic breakthroughs in terms of institutions, infrastructure and human resources. It also helps to promote economic growth, improving labor productivity, competitiveness and efficiency of production and business. Digital transformation can contribute in decreasing product prices, reduce administrative procedures, as well as time and costs for people and companies. It can also help authorities at all levels improve management capacity and effective administration.
Vietnam's national digital transformation has achieved positive results. It has increased awareness and the formulation of strategies, and the improvement of institutions, mechanisms and policies. Investment in digital infrastructure has increased, and many digital platforms continue to be developed. A centralized database creates the foundation for Digital Government, facilitates communication, and assists online public services to be deployed more effectively and extensively. Information security and safety continue to be refined under the movement. Financial and human resources for digital transformation have been enhanced. The contribution of the digital economy to GDP is also increased under a pervasive national digital transformation program. The Prime Minister stated that on behalf of the Party and State leaders, he recognizes, praises, and appreciates the efforts, determination and results achieved by all levels, sectors, localities, business communities and people, making an essential contribution to our nation's digital transformation.” However, he said, today's results are just the beginning, and we still have numerous tasks to fulfil. To effectively and substantively implement a national digital transformation, we must have a systematic strategy and focused implementation, creating a change in social management and operation. The Government's cross-cutting point of view is that people and businesses are the center, the subject, the goal, and the driving force and resource of digital transformation. Digital transformation must let people and businesses benefit from public services and social utilities more conveniently, efficiently and faster, and they will create resources for development, he said.
