Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam YoungLeader Awards (VYLA), an annual scholarship co-sponsored by the Ministry ofEducation and Training and the US-based Indiana University Bloomington, isopening for application until January 10.
The full scholarship programme targets outstandinggovernment employees, researchers and lecturers who seek graduate degrees inPublic Affairs at the Indiana University Bloomington, a world-leading publicuniversity on the subject.
The VYLA aims to equip selected candidateswith analytical and management skills. The recipients will have a chance toparticipate in a training programme at Harvard University in Boston and theWorld Bank in Washington DC.
The maximum number of scholarships awardedthis year is 20. -VNA
As many as 71 outstanding students studying at universities and colleges in Vietnam’s southern localities were granted scholarships each worth 216 EUR from the German State of Hessen.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam has awarded 50 scholarships worth a total of 620 million VND (27,300 USD) to university students in HCM City.
The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund has granted about 75,000 scholarships worth 75 billion VND (3.2 million USD) for thousands of ethnic groups and island students since its establishment in 1999.
