Hanoi (VNA) – A banquet was held in Hanoi onSeptember 30 to celebrate the 69th National Day of China (October 1, 1949).

The event was attended by member of theCommunist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Minister of Finance Dinh TienDung, officials of some Vietnamese ministries, sectors and localities, andrepresentatives of diplomatic corps and international organisations in Hanoi.

On behalf of the Vietnamese Party, State andpeople, Minister Dung congratulated the Chinese Party, State and people on theenormous achievements they have attained over the last 69 years.

He expressed his belief that the Chinese peoplewill fulfil the tasks set at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Partyof China and soon realise the goal of a “comprehensive well-off society” and amodern socialist country that is prosperous, strong, democratic, culturallyadvanced, harmonious and beautiful.

Applauding the recent outcomes of the two countries’relations, he reiterated that Vietnam always attaches importance to and wantsto, together with China, enhance the traditional friendship and substantivecooperation, thereby developing bilateral ties in a result-oriented manner andpractically benefitting the two peoples, the region and the world.

At the reception, Chargé d’affaires of theChinese Embassy in Vietnam Yin Haihong reviewed her country’s accomplishmentsin the past 69 years. She noted that with both sides’ efforts, the China –Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership has sustained theupward trend.

The diplomat affirmed that China is ready tojoin Vietnam’s efforts to promote win-win cooperation so as to lift bilateralrelations to a new level, bring happiness to the two peoples and contribute topeace, stability and development in the region.–VNA
