Seoul (VNA) – The Financial Services Commission of the Republic ofKorea said the country will deepen cooperation with the 10-member Associationof Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in the financial technology sector.

Sohn Byung-doo, Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Commission, said in ameeting with representatives from ASEAN on October 28 that an upcoming summit isexpected to help better connect the RoK to ASEAN.

The summit will serve as a special opportunity for the RoK and ASEAN to deepenrelations, Sohn said.

President Moon Jae-in is set to host the summit scheduled for November 25 inBusan.

ASEAN comprises Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, thePhilippines, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam./.
