Bangkok (VNA/NNT)🎀 – The Ministry of Labour, the Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Foreign Commerce of Thailand have invited experts on foreign trade to elaborate on labour laws and the employment of foreign labourers.

The experts were also urged to scrutinise the E-Payment Social Security system, which has already signed on 40 percent of businesses.
The gathering clarified the adjustment to the nation’s minimum wage set to be introduced on January 1, 2017. The new regulation will see eight provinces maintain the current 300 THB per day rate with others to be allowed to raise their rates 5-10 THB depending on their individual economic markers.
The Chamber of Foreign Commerce, meanwhile, took the opportunity to ask the Ministry of Labour to expedite the development of labourers qualified to work in high technology industries. The chamber noted employment in the Kingdom continues to be well balanced despite a contraction of the world economy.-VNA
