The event offers a platform for creative professionals to showcase their projects and explore business opportunities with domestic and international partners.
Dr. Chakrit Pichyangkul, Director of the CEA, explained that the Content Project Market serves as both a marketplace and pitching platform for Thai content creators. This year's event features 59 projects, including 37 from the Content Lab 2024 initiative and 22 selected through an open call. Participants include creators from the film, series, and animation industries, and the event has attracted 64 local and international companies, including streaming platforms, interested in potential collaborations.
The CEA aims to elevate Thailand's creative industries to the global stage through the Content Project Market. The Content Lab 2024 program has provided creators with the skills necessary to pitch their projects to investors, facilitating international market entry. The Thai content and creative media industries generated 108 billion baht in economic value in 2022, and the figure is expected to grow further in 2024 due to the rise of streaming platforms.
Building on the success of last year's initiative, the CEA expanded the Content La🗹b 2024 to include four incubation programs and one business opportunity progr♈am, targeting filmmakers, animators, and scriptwriters at various stages of their careers. The goal is to help Thai creators develop commercially viable content that can compete on the international stage./.
