Thai Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha said he was pleased to learn that Thailand had been ranked the least miserable country on Bloomberg’s Misery Index.

Bangkok (VNA/NNT) – Thai Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha said he waspleased to learn that Thailand had been ranked the least miserable country onBloomberg’s Misery Index. 

Spokespersonto the Prime Minister’s Office Lt Gen Sansern Keawkamnerd said the premierthanked related government agencies for their hard work to make Thailand thehappiest country in the world. 

Thanks totheir contributions, Thailand’s unemployment and inflation rates have remainedrelatively stable over the past three years. Other nine happiest countries onthe list include Singapore, Switzerland, Japan, Iceland, Taiwan, Denmark,Israel, the Republic of Korea and Hong Kong, respectively. 

The spokespersonadded that the government will continue to improve the overall economicwell-being of the nation by attracting more investments, improving migrant labourmanagement, promoting Thai exports, and boosting domestic tourism.-VNA
