Top 10 Sao Khue awards winners post 112 million USD in revenue

Hanoi (VNA) - The total revenue oftop 10 firms receiving Sao Khue Awards this year reached 2.6 trillion VND (112million USD).

The information was announced at the award ceremonyorganised by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) held recentlyin Hanoi.

The awards received 134 nominations from 96enterprises, representing 35 percent year-on-year increase with 30 frombusinesses using new technology.

After the evaluation in the preliminary and livepresentation rounds, judges choose 94 products and services to receive awards.Of which, the top 10 were selected based on criteria such as socio-economiceffects, brand name prestige, revenues, market share, and innovative technologyuse.  

VINASA Chairman Truong Gia Binh said theaward-winning products and services are built on the  mostadvanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain,internet of things (IoT) and Big Data. These have been a big momentum for thecountry’s software industry in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Since launching in 2003, the Sao Khue Awards,sponsored by the Ministry of Information and Communications, have become themost prestigious in IT field in the country. It has delivered awards to 747best domestic products and services, contributing to guiding the IT market andcustomers and being an effective channel to link businesses.

In addition to big names in the IT sector suchas Viettel, FPT, Top 10 Sao Khue Award this year saw many start-ups takingpart.

Nguyen Trung Hieu, CEO of Telepro which is astart-up providing telesales, telemarketing solutions, said the award is aguarantee of their quality.

The company would focus on products’ quality toensure the best services in the market in particular and the Asian region ingeneral to have breakthrough in growth rate.-VNA
