Khanh Hoa (VNA) – Voters in three constituencies in Truong Sa island district, the central province of Khanh Hoa, will cast votes for deputies to the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2016-2021 tenure on May 15. The voting is one week earlier from the scheduled date for the nation on May 22, said Chairman of the district People’s Committee Nguyen Viet Thuan on May 14.
The constituencies include Truong Sa town, Song Tu Tay and Sinh Ton communes. The local constituents will elect three deputies to the National Assembly, two to the provincial People’s Council, 30 to the district People’s Council and 45 to the communal People’s Council.
Preparations for the event in the island district have been made thoroughly, Thuan said To make the election a success, two naval ships coded 633 and 639 from the Naval Region 4 High Command conducted a ten-day voyage to bring ballots and equipment needed to election areas in district’s 21 islands.-VNA
