Paris (VNA) – Vice Presidentand Secretary General of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central CommitteeHau A Lenh has affirmed that VFF highly values work with the French Economic,Social and Environmental Council (CESE) to share experience in environmentalprotection, climate change response and industrial and household wastetreatment.
During a working session with CESE PresidentPatrick Bernasconi in Paris on September 17, Lenh congratulated CESE on the successfulGeneral Assembly of the International Association of Economic and SocialCouncils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS) 2018 in Paris.
Both sides agreed to share experience inwaste treatment and personnel training, and soon sign a cooperation agreementin environmental protection.
The same day, Lenh and the VFF delegation attendedthe plenary session of AICESIS 2018, themed “Digital Society”, which attracted 14countries representing Europe, Latin America, Africa and Asia and discussed thedigital revolution’s impacts on socio-economic inequality and the role ofdigitalisation in governance and social partners.
Delegates agreed that a digital society is changingworkforce demand and education.
The meeting heard a report on activitiesduring 2018, a financial report for 2017, training for personnel aged below 30and AICESIS’s major plans between now and 2019. It also admitted Serbia as a member.
Founded in 1999 to share experience and developdialogues among members on the basis of respecting values of peace, security,democracy and human rights, AICESIS has helped establish socio-economiccouncils worldwide.
