VFF leader congratulates Lao counterpart on re-election

Hanoi (VNA) – President of the VietnamFatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Do Van Chien has congratulated SinlavongKhutphaythoun on his re-election as President of the Lao Front for NationalConstruction (LFNC) Central Committee.
Chien said he extends his warmest congratulations to the LFNCCentral Committee’s president, vice president and members following the successof the LFNC’s 11th National Congress for the 2021 – 2026 term.
“I am pleased to see the cooperation between the VFF and the LFNC growing constantly and extensively in a practical and effective way thathelps foster the long-standing and loyal relationship between the Parties,States and peoples of Vietnam and Laos,” he said in a letter sent to the Laocounterpart on November 26.
He also expressed his confidence that the LFNC will makegreater achievements, contributing to building a prosperous country of Laos andwished for the ever-lasting special solidarity and comprehensive partnershipbetween Laos and Vietnam./.
The Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security will help its Lao counterpart build 287 village police stations in the time ahead, with construction of the first one starting on November 12.
The Border Guard Command of the central province of Quang Binh on November 23 presented medical supplies and equipment worth 400 million VND (over 17,000 USD) to their counterparts in the Lao border province of Khammouane to support them in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
