Vietnam, Australia strengthen sci-tech ties

The Australian University of Technology in Sydney (UTS) and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) signed an agreement on cooperation in masters of science and doctors training.

The Australian University of Technology in Sydney (UTS) and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) on September 11 signed an agreement on cooperation in masters of science (MSc) and doctors (PhD) training.
The deal was inked by Prof. Duong Ngoc Hai, VAST Vice President, and Vice Rector of the UTS William Purcell during the former’s visit to Australia. Under the agreement, each side will annually train for the other up to 10 MSc and PhDs in the fields of mechanics and automation, information technology and communication, environmental technology, and energy. Speaking after the signing ceremony, Hai hailed the student exchange programme, saying that it opens up opportunities for joint research by the two institutions in the coming time.-VNA
