Vietnam impresses visitors at Moscow international tourism fair
The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT), Vietnam Airlines and several local tour and hotel operators have been taking part in the 2019 Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MIIT), running in the Russian capital from March 12 to 14.

Moscow (VNA) – The VietnamNational Administration of Tourism (VNAT), Vietnam Airlines and several localtour and hotel operators have been taking part in the 2019 Moscow InternationalTravel & Tourism Exhibition (MITT), running in the Russian capital fromMarch 12 to 14.
First held in 1994, the annual MITT is amongthe five biggest tourism expos in the world, consisting of hundreds of seminarsand press conferences.
The Vietnamese space at the event features promotionpublications, images and maps in Russian and English, with a highlight being alarge board welcoming visitors to the central province of Khanh Hoa and itscoastal city Nha Trang.
Khanh Hoa is hosting National Tourism Year2019 themed “Nha Trang – Colour of Sea”, which includes various tourismactivities, including a marine festival week and a Hong Kong-Nha Trang yachtrace.
Speaking at the event, Dinh Ngoc Duc, headof the VNAT Tourism Marketing Department, said Russia is among the top 10markets of the Vietnamese tourism sector. The two countries have soundpolitical ties and are connected by direct flights, while Russian demand forVietnamese tourism products is rising.
According to the VNAT, the number of Russiantourist arrivals in Vietnam grows by 30 percent annually on average, with the totalnumber of arrivals expected to reach 1 million by 2020.

Vietnam tourism body and travel agencies have been taking part in the 25th Moscow International Travel & Tourism Exhibition (MIIT), which opened on March 13 in the Russian capital.

According to Seoul’s Tourism Industry Department, approximately 20,000 Vietnamese visitors travel to the city each year for medical treatment. Vietnam consistently ranks among the top 10 countries with the highest number of medical tourists to Seoul.
