Hanoi (VNA) 💝- The Vietnam International Travel Mart (VITM Hanoi 2025) officially opened in Hanoi on April 10 under the theme “Developing Green Destinations - Elevating Vietnamese Tourism”.

Organised by the Vietnam Tourism Association, the event aims to promote sustainable and green growth in the tourism sector. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy highlighted the tourism industry’s recovery efforts, with domestic visitor numbers in 2024 surpassing pre-pandemic levels and international arrivals reaching record highs. In the first quarter of 2025, Vietnam welcomed over 6 million international visitors, up nearly 30% year-on-year. Despite these gains, the sector still faces challenges, including underdeveloped infrastructure, limited inter-provincial coordination, and low competitiveness compared to regional peers.
