Vietnamese, Cambodian navies boost ties

Phnom Penh (VNA)൩ – Vietnam and Cambodia have agreed to boost ties between the two countries’ navy forces, including continuing joint sea patrol in order to maintain peace and stability on the two sides’ waters and the region at large.

The statement came during a meeting between Rear Admiral Pham Hoai Nam, the Commander of the Vietnam People's Navy and Royal Cambodian Navy Commander Tea Vinh in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on March 27.
At the event, Nam stressed the Vietnamese navy has attached importance to developing cooperation with the foreign navy. The Vietnamese navy will be ready to support Cambodia in the fields of manpower training and technical assistance. They praised the significant outcome of the joint sea patrol activities, contributing to ensuring security in the two countries’ waters while maintaining peace and stability in the region.
Commander Tea Vinh thanked the Vietnamese navy for its support and hoped to continue receiving assistance in training and technical gear support for the Cambodian naval forces. The Vietnamese naval officers are on a three-day working visit to Cambodia, starting on March 27.-VNA
