Hanoi (VNA)𒉰 – Naval Region 5 under the Vietnamese People’s Navy and the Royal Cambodian Navy have successfully conducted their 44th joint patrol, according to Quan Doi Nhan Dan (People’s Army) newspaper.
During the two-day patrol, starting from September 27, both sides carried out several tasks, including interdiction of illegal activities in the joint patrol waters, maritime environmental protection, information exchange, and search and rescue at sea.
The annual initiative was expected to deepen the traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and increase mutual understandings and trust between the two navies, contributing to ensuring peace, stability, political security and social order in the adjacent sea area between Vietnam and Cambodia.-VNA
The heavy lift vessel Rolldock Storm, carrying the Kilo submarine Russia built for Vietnam , arrived at Cam Ranh Port in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa on February 2.
