Vietnamese language course opened for Lao ICT personnel
The Cuu Long University and Laos’ Institute for Information Technology and Communication under the Ministry of Technology and Communications on April 4 opened a Vietnamese language course for Lao personnel.

Vientiane (VNA)𝔍 – The Cuu Long University and Laos’ Institute for Information Technology andCommunication under the Ministry of Technology and Communications on April 4opened a Vietnamese language course for Lao personnel.
Principal Luong Minh Cu said that the course aims to help Lao students to studythe Vietnamese language both in Vietnam and Laos instead of spending nine to 12months studying in Vietnam. Those attending thecourse will study the language in Laos and take an exam at the university, which helps reduce their tuitionfees and time. Santisouk Simmalavong, Laos’ Vice Minister of Technology and Communications said that human resourcesdevelopment and training in the information technology industry is an urgenttask, especially to prepare for the digital economy developmentstrategy of Laos. Therefore, the Vietnamese language training in Laos is an initiative to help Lao students improve their language skills and have an access to usefulscientific-technological information in Vietnamese. He said he hopes suchcourses will be expanded and diversified./.
