Hanoi (VNA) -༺ Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong sent a bouquet of flowers and President Truong Tan Sang sent a congratulatory message to Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni on November 8 on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of Cambodia’s National Day (November 9).
Messages of congratulations were also sent from Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung to his Cambodian counterpart Samdech Techo Hun Sen, and from National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung to Cambodian National Assembly President Samdech Heng Samrin and Senate President Samdech Say Chhum.
The same day, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Binh congratulated Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Hor Namhong.
Vietnam and Cambodia set up diplomatic ties on June 24, 1967. Since then, their relations have continued to thrive on the motto of good neighbourliness, time-honoured friendship, comprehensive co-operation and long-term sustainability in many fields.-VNA
