Vietnamese Students’ Association in Europe established
With support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese representative agencies in Europe, a virtual congress took place recently to set up the Vietnamese Students’ Association in Europe, gathering young Vietnamese from 11 nations including Belgium, France, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Poland.

Hanoi (VNA) – With support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese representative agencies in Europe, a virtual congress took place recently to set up the Vietnamese Students’ Association in Europe, gathering young Vietnamese from 11 nations including Belgium, France, the Czech Republic, Austria, and Poland.
Deputy Foreign Minister and head of the committee Pham Quang Hieu sent a congratulatory letter to the event, stating that the establishment is important. He said he believes the association will sustainably link young Vietnamese and those of Vietnamese origin in Europe and hoped it to launch practical activities.
The congress elected a 24-member provisional executive committee, headed by Nguyen Thi Dieu Linh, who is head of the Vietnamese Students’ Association in the Czech Republic.
Nguyen Dieu Linh, deputy director of the State Committee’s department of economic relations and science and technology, lauded the contributions of Vietnamese students’ associations across European nations in the past time.
She wished the new association will create a common environment for Vietnamese youth in Europe to develop and mobilise their intellectual resources in contribution to Vietnam’s growth and improved relations with European countries./.
The Vietnamese Students’ Association in Italy (ASVI) convened its first congress for the 2021-2023 tenure in the form of videoconference on January 29.
The Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCYU) Central Committee on March 13 held an online meeting with the Vietnamese Students’ Association, the Vietnamese Youths and Students Association, and representatives of the HCYU abroad.
The new government should set forth policies to facilitate investment and connectivity between overseas Vietnamese and Vietnamese-German entrepreneurs and experts in Germany with the homeland, said several Vietnamese intellectuals in the European country when being asked about their expectations of Vietnam’s newly-elected government.

VietnamPlus e-newspaper of the VNA clinched an A prize in the “Outstanding Press Product” category for its immersive 3D multimedia project, “Epic of Reunification,” a groundbreaking blend of storytelling and technology. The VNA won another A prize for its eye-catching exhibition booth.
Today, the press for foreign service has evolved into a distinct, irreplaceable force, bridging Vietnam with the world and portraying a nation that is stable, peace-loving, and fully integrated into the international community.
At a review conference held on June 21, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh praised the province’s scientific, coordinated, and flexible approach. He noted that the early completion reflects the strong commitment of local authorities, the business community, philanthropists, and residents in improving housing conditions for disadvantaged groups.
The VNA delegation, led by General Director Vu Viet Trang, actively participated in the event, engaging in both professional and diplomatic activities.
In the context where AI dominates and produces vast volumes of content, the only sustainable path forward for journalism is to focus on high-quality content and core values. Journalism must redefine its mission - not to report the fastest, but to provide the most profound and trustworthy value.
